The Earth and Me

November 14, 2018

As I sit atop the hill I do not weep,

For the Earth holds me.

As I lay upon the ground I am not cold,

For the Earth warms me.

As I walk along this path I am not lost,

For the Earth shows me.

As I sing among the birds I am not loud,

For the Earth hears me.

As I dance through this wild night I have no fear,

For the Earth moves me.

As I wake in these deepest dreams I do not stir,

For the Earth soothes me.

As I live I know my form,

For the Earth is me.
